New Recycling Carts Arriving This Week

Sunnyvale residents in single-family homes will start receiving new recycling carts this week through July 5 with a split lid to separate newspaper from recyclable containers. The new carts will be delivered the day before regular collection service and the old carts will be removed the day of regular service. Contact Specialty (408) 565-9900 for details.

Nominations for the 2013 Community Awards are now open

During the State of the City event on Saturday, September 7, the Mayor and City Council will present the Distinguished Resident of the Year, Outstanding Businessperson, Outstanding Community Volunteer, Outstanding Contribution to the Arts, Outstanding Educator, Outstanding Environmental Achievement, Outstanding High School Senior, and the Mayor's Award of Excellence.
