Approval is requested for the award of a contract to Ozark Mountain Sightseeing for a Senior Center trip, "The Grand Millennium 2000". This trip is part of the Parks and Recreation department’s Older Adult Trip Program.

As part of Sunnyvale’s Older Adult programs, the Senior Center routinely offers trips on a one-day and extended (multi-day) basis. "The Grand Millennium 2000" is an extended day trip offered to Senior Center members. The trip will take place December 29, 1999 to January 2, 2000.

Ozark Mountain Sightseeing has submitted a contract for $40,204.00 for an inclusive tour package for a maximum of 47 participants. Fees charged to participants for this trip will cover related cost. Council action is required because this all-inclusive contract package exceeding $35,000.

There should be a neutral fiscal impact to the Parks and Recreation budget, as revenue from participant fees will cover the costs set forth in the contract.

Staff recommends that Council award a contract in the amount of $40,204.00 to Ozark Mountain Sightseeing for "The Grand Millennium 2000" extended day trip for the Older Adult Trip Program and authorize the Purchasing Officer to issue a purchase order to that effect.
