SUBJECT: PHASE II 1999 BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS APPOINTMENTS
REPORT IN BRIEF
On December 6, 1999, Council interviewed applicants for the vacancies on the City Boards and Commissions. Staff recommends Council make its appointments from the applicants listed below.
BACKGROUND
Fall recruitment for citizens interested in serving on a City Board or Commission was conducted from October 6 through November 12, 1999. At the time of the deadline, 11 applications were received. Two applicants withdrew and one was deemed ineligible.
Council Legislative Policy 7.2.5. "Selection Process" indicates that all persons seeking membership to a board or commission shall be subject to interview, selection and appointment by the City Council.
