Dear Event Planner:

The Department of Parks and Recreation's reservation system has identified you as a past customer of the City of Sunnyvale's park system, and this letter is intended solely as a courtesy notification to you.

Please be advised of the following changes in Sunnyvale's park use policies:

In addition, and in an effort to maintain positive public relations with neighbors living adjacent to our neighborhood parks, staff will be taking steps to increase its enforcement of existing municipal codes regarding the prohibition of amplified music and/or public announcement systems (unless specifically authorized by the Director of Parks and Recreation).

Please be advised that failure to comply with these policies or their intent (e.g., having more than one person from the same party make separate picnic reservations to circumvent the one site per party policy) will result in the loss of future permit privileges.

Thank you for helping us to better serve the community and for your support of the City’s Parks and Recreation Department. If you have any questions regarding the contents of this letter, please contact Kristin Mingst at (408) 730-7338.

Sincerely,
Robert A. Walker, Director
Parks and Recreation
