That the City Council, by resolution, accept the project as complete and satisfactory.

The Contractor, George Bianchi Construction, has satisfactorily completed the Seismic Retrofit of Four Bridges project within the allocated budget and for the final contract amount of $168,939.

The work included retrofitting of four bridges: Sunnyvale East Channel at Persian Drive and at Moffet Park; Calabazas Creek at Mountain View-Alviso Road; and Stevens Creek at Fremont Boulevard.

The work was done because a Caltrans consultant’s analysis revealed that components of the bridges needed strengthening or repair. Caltrans provided the funds to retrofit these bridges.

The project was inspected by the Public Works Project Administration Section and found to be satisfactory. Acceptance is, therefore, recommended.
