| SUBJECT: | Hollenbeck Avenue Underground Utility District - Public Hearing |
REPORT IN BRIEF
On December 17, 2001 City Council adopted a preliminary resolution setting a public hearing to establish the Hollenbeck Avenue Underground Utility District for January 8, 2002. Staff was ready to bring a proposal and recommendation to Council on that date, but proper advertisement of the hearing in The Sun did not take place through an oversight of the newspaper, notwithstanding a request by the City Clerk’s Office. Since the newspaper failed to publish the legal notice, the hearing cannot take place as scheduled.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff is recommending that the hearing for establishment of the Hollenbeck Avenue Underground Utility District be rescheduled to January 29, 2002 after legal notice has been published.
