SUBJECT: Appeal of the Planning Commission Agenda of March 11, 2002 and the Administrative Hearing Agenda of March 13, 2002

REPORT IN BRIEF

This report represents the Planning Commission Agenda and Administrative Hearing Agenda items that may be appealed by any member of the Council. Council should indicate any appealed items on which it wishes to have expanded notification.

  1. Appeal of the Planning Commission Agenda of March 11, 2002
  2. 1. 2002-0064 - Abby Ahrens & Doyle Hastings [Applicant]/Owner]: Application for Special Development Permit to allow the construction of 9 condominiums. The property is located at 337 E. Washington Avenue in a C-2/PD (Highway Business/Planned Development) Zoning District. (APN: 209-05-030) (Negative Declaration) DRP (APPROVED WITH MODIFICATIONS)

  3. Appeal of the Administrative Hearing Agenda of March 13, 2002
  1. 2002-0111 - Application for a Use Permit to allow the construction of a detached accessory living unit. The property is located at 1348 Norman Drive in an R-1 (Low-Density Residential.) Zoning District. (APN: 313-11-010) RK (APPROVED WITH MODIFICATION)
  2. 2002-0115 – Sue Yun Song [Applicant] Virginia Joe, et al [Owner]: Application for a Special Development Permit to allow an expansion of an entertainment use within an existing bar. The property is located at 1183 West El Camino Real in C-2/PD (Highway Business/Planned Development) Zoning District. (APN: 161-23-003) TH (APPROVED WITH MODIFICATIONS)
  3. 2002-0127 – Fran Wagstaff [Applicant] Homestead Park Associates [Owner]: Application for a Special Development Permit to allow an increase in roof height from 31.5 feet to 34 feet on eight buildings and other exterior modifications. The property is located at 1601 Tenaka Place in an R-3/PD (Medium Density Residential/Planned Development) Zoning District.(APN: 323-41-001, 323-41-002, & 323-41-003) PB (APPROVED WITH MODIFICATION)
  4. 2002-0128 – Bourbon One [Applicant] Joe Kovalik [Owner]: Application for a Special Development Permit to allow live entertainment at an existing restaurant with a bar. The property is located at 927 East Duane Avenue in a C-1/PD (Neighborhood Business/Planned Development) Zoning District. (APN: 205-12-003) EW (APPROVED WITH MODIFICATIONS)

RECOMMENDATION

The Council should review the agenda and appeal an application where appropriate.
