| SUBJECT: | Acceptance of Improvements — Bernal Avenue and Balsam Avenue Water Main Replacement and Street Asphalt Concrete Reconstruction |
| RECOMMENDATION |
| That the City Council, by resolution, accept the project as complete and satisfactory. |
| DISCUSSION |
|
The Contractor, Stoloski and Gonzalez, Inc., has satisfactorily completed the Bernal Avenue and Balsam Avenue Water Main Replacement and Street Asphalt Concrete Reconstruction project (UW-99/01-00) within the allocated budget and for the final contract amount of $453,056.20. The work included replacing the existing water mains and fire hydrants, transferring existing water services to the new main, and installing deep-lift asphalt concrete pavement on both streets. The work was done as part of the regular maintenance of streets/water main replacement programs. The project was inspected by the Public Works Project Administration Section and found to be satisfactory. Acceptance is, therefore, recommended. |
