| SUBJECT: | Acceptance of Improvements — Curbside Processing Facility |
RECOMMENDATION
That the City Council, by resolution, accept the project as complete and satisfactory.
DISCUSSION
The Contractor, Monterey Mechanical, has satisfactorily completed the Curbside Processing Facility (PR-96/16-98) project within the allocated budget and for the final contract amount of $2,126,555.60
The work included all concrete and steel construction, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and drainage systems, and installation of all equipment including the baler, baler conveyor, and glass sorting conveyor.
The work was done because the original recycling center facility was obsolete.
The project was inspected by the Public Works Project Administration Section and found to be satisfactory. Acceptance is, therefore, recommended.
