Acceptance of Improvements — Construction of Additional Median Left Turn Lanes on El Camino Real |

RECOMMENDATION |

That the City Council, by resolution, accept the project as complete and satisfactory. |

DISCUSSION |
|
|
The Contractor, Granite Construction Co., has satisfactorily completed Construction of Additional Median Left Turn Lanes on El Camino Real project (TR-97/07-98) within the allocated budget and for the final contract amount of $219,228.20. The work included construction of a mid-block left-turn access between Sunnyvale Avenue and Cezanne Drive and a left-turn access between Cezanne Drive and Fair Oaks Avenue. The work was done to reduce the large numbers of motorists making U-turns at El Camino/Cezanne and El Camino/Fair Oaks, especially during peak hours. The project was inspected by the Public Works Project Administration Section and found to be satisfactory. Acceptance is, therefore, recommended. |
