SUBJECT:

Acceptance of Improvements — Reconstruction of Curbs, Gutters, Sidewalks and Driveways

RECOMMENDATION

That the City Council, by resolution, accept the project as complete and satisfactory.

DISCUSSION

The Contractor, L&B Engineering, Inc., has satisfactorily completed the Re-construction of Curbs, Gutters, Sidewalks and Driveways project (ST-00/04-01) for the final contract amount of $842,150.21.

The work included reconstruction of 4" thick sidewalks, reconstruction of 5" and 6" thick driveways, replacement of curbs and gutters, removal of park strip concrete, and replacement of water meter boxes at various locations throughout the City.

The work was done as part of the City’s annual maintenance program.

The project was inspected by the Public Works Corporation Yard staff and found to be satisfactory. Acceptance is, therefore, recommended.
