SUBJECT: Parking Restrictions of Recreational Vehicles, Trailers and Boats

Background

On July 12, 2002, staff responded to a City Council request with the attached memorandum, Regulations Pertaining to Recreational Vehicle, Trailers and Boat Parking. The Council concurred with request by Vice Mayor Miller that a public hearing be scheduled to determine if there is sufficient public interest in this issue to make it a Study Issue for the coming year.

FISCAL IMPACT

This report has no fiscal impact for the City.

PUBLIC CONTACT

Public contact was made through the posting of the Council agenda on the City's Official Bulletin Board, posting of the agenda and the report on the City's web site, publication of the Council agenda in the San Jose Mercury News, and the availability of the report in the Library and the City Clerk's Office.

In addition, at the request of Vice Mayor, the public hearing was posted on KSUN and fliers were distributed at the One Stop Center and the Sunnyvale Public Library.

RECOMMENDATION

City Council conduct the public hearing as scheduled on August 20, 2002.
