| SUBJECT: | Acceptance of Improvements — Roofing Replacement at the Water Pollution Control Plant and Baylands Park |
RECOMMENDATION
That the City Council, by resolution, accept the project as complete and satisfactory.
DISCUSSION
The Contractor, IMR Roofing Co., has satisfactorily completed the Roofing Replacement at Water Pollution Control Plant and Baylands Park (PR-98/17-00(A)) project within the allocated budget and for the final contract amount of $109,725.
The work included removal and replacement of existing roofing on five buildings (three belonging to the Water Pollution Control Plant and two belonging to Baylands Park) and roof repairs on one building (Water Pollution Control Plant’s Administration Annex Trailer).
The work was done because the roofs had come to the end of their useful life, or needed repairs.
The project was inspected by the Public Works Project Administration Section and found to be satisfactory. Acceptance is, therefore, recommended.
