SUBJECT: Appeal of the Planning Commission Agenda of February 10, 2003 and the Administrative Hearing Agenda of February 12, 2003

REPORT IN BRIEF

This report represents the Planning Commission Agenda and Administrative Hearing Agenda items that may be appealed by any member of the Council. Council should specify the reason for an appeal and indicate any appealed items on which it wishes to have expanded notification.

  1. Appeal of the Planning Commission Agenda of February 10, 2003
  1. 2002-0966 - Application for a Design Review to allow for a 340 square -foot, one-story addition to an existing two-story house for a total of 4,070 square feet resulting in a 68% FAR where 45% is allowed without a Planning Commission review. The property is located at 822 West Iowa Avenue in an R-0 (Low-Density Residential) Zoning District. (APN: 165-05-018) DO (Approved)

  1. Appeal of the Administrative Hearing Agenda of February 12, 2003

  1. 2002-0938 - Variance from SMC (Sunnyvale Municipal Code) section 19.32.020 to allow a one-story addition with lot coverage of 41% where 40% is allowed. The property is located at 822 Haverhill Drive in an R-0 (Low-Density Residential) Zoning District. (APN: 201-06-028) KD (Continued from January 29, 2003 Administrative Hearing) (Approved with Modification)
  2. 2003-0018 - Cornelia Haber [Applicant]: Application for a Special Development Permit to allow a 146 square foot addition to the first floor of an existing two-story house. The property is located at 1453 Yukon Drive in an R-2/PD (Low-Medium Density Residential/Planned Development) Zoning District. (APN: 323-30-063) DO (Approved)

RECOMMENDATION

The Council should review the agenda and appeal an application where appropriate, specifying the reason for the appeal.
