On April 14, 2003, the Planning Commission continued the item to July 14, 2003 as requested by staff. Staff requested a continuance in response to comments from the Moffett Park stakeholders and other interested parties who asked for additional outreach efforts and dialogue prior to Certification of the Final EIR. As a result, staff requests that the City Council public hearing be continued to August 12, 2003.

On March 24, 2003, the Planning Commission held a study session on the Final EIR. Moffett Park stakeholders and other interested parties were in attendance and requested further dialogue with staff prior to certification of the Final EIR. On April 8, 2003, the City Council held a study session on the Final EIR and staff noted that a continuance would be requested. A continuance would allow staff to conduct more outreach. On April 14, 2003, the Planning Commission granted a continuance to July 14, 2003 resulting in a need to continue the City Council hearing to August 12, 2003.
