SUBJECT: Additional Budget Information In Response to Council Members Requests

I am enclosing information in response to requests that we have received from Mayor Miller, Vice-Mayor Risch, and Council Member Fowler regarding the FY 2003/2004 Recommended Budget. You'll see that this information is grouped together into several sections.

Section 1: Council Member Fowler Email Received June 13, 2003

The following information is included:

• Table 1 updating the proposed reductions for the departments of Public Safety, Human Resources and the Office of the City Manager to reflect FY 2003/2004 dollars and any reductions already taken
• A memo from the Public Safety Director on recommended funding for reorganizing the DPS command structure and the OES Lieutenant position
• A memo from the Human Resources Director on proposed additional reductions in Human Resource programs
• A memo from the Deputy City Manager regarding proposed additional reductions in the Organizational Effectiveness program
• A memo from the Finance Director regarding set asides and service restorations
• Table 2 updating the proposed service restorations to reflect FY 2003/2004 dollars and status, if applicable

Section 2: Vice Mayor Risch Emails Dated June 5, 2003 and June 15, 2003 and Mayor Miller Email dated June 11, 2003

• A memo providing additional information for the items raised in the June 5, 2003 and June 11, 2003 Emails
• A memo providing additional information for the items raised in the June 16, 2003 Email.

Section 3: Mayor Miller Request made at the June 10^th City Council meeting

• A memo from the Deputy City Manager regarding fees and charges for DPS services.
