Information:
The Arts Commission acts in an advisory capacity to the City Council in all matters pertaining to the arts in Sunnyvale including budget issues, and the development and promotion of arts programs and activities. The Commission also advises the Council on City funding of outside arts group, co-sponsored status and other collaborative programs and services.
The five-member advisory commission meets on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. in the Council Chamber of City Hall. Applicants should have demonstrated interest in the arts and the art programs of the City. Strong consideration is given to applicants with a background in the arts, in order to create a commission representative of the diverse range of arts media.
