MEETING MINUTES

SUNNYVALE CHILD CARE ADVISORY BOARD

The Child Care Advisory Board met on January 11, 2005  in the Garden Conference Room, 456 W. Olive Avenue, at 11:45 a.m. with Emily Gutierrez, Vice-Chair, presiding.

ROLL CALL

Board Present:                   Angela Carmack (by phone), Emily Gutierrez, Hilal Ozdemir, Jacqueline Sell (by phone), Maxine Shea

Board Member Absent:        Carole Jevons, excused

Staff:                               Kristen Nigriny, Child Care Manager; Claire Garcia, Sr. Office Assistant

                                      Peter Bassett, Management Analyst

SCHEDULED PRESENTATION - None

CONSENT CALENDAR

CITIZENS TO BE HEARD - None

PUBLIC HEARINGS/GENERAL BUSINESS

BOARD MEMBER CARMACK motioned to excuse BOARD MEMBER JEVON’s absence due to an appointment she could not reschedule.  BOARD MEMBER GUTIERREZ seconded the motion. MOTION CARRIED   BOARD MEMBER GUTIERREZ noted a correction on page 2.  Boardmember should be corrected to two words.  With no other modifications to the 12/14/04 draft special meeting minutes, BOARD MEMBER SHEA motioned to accept as modified. BOARD MEMBER GUTIERREZ seconded the motion.                    MOTION CARRIED   BOARD MEMBER GUTIERREZ motioned to accept the Work Plan for 2005 with the addition of adding Neighborhood Community Services training by Coryn Campbell to the October 11, 2005 meeting.  BOARD MEMBER OZDEMIR seconded the motion.                    MOTION CARRIED

CHILD CARE MANAGER NIGRINY recommended to postpone discussing Agenda item #6, Discuss CCAB meeting date/time until the April meeting when all members can be present.
