MINUTES
SUNNYVALE PERSONNEL BOARD
The Personnel Board met in regular session in the West Conference Room, 456 W. Olive Avenue. The meeting was called to order at 5:04 p.m. with Stephanie Saprai presiding.

Present: Werner Gans, Glenn Hendricks, Judith Nickey, Stephanie Saprai
Absent: Branden Fryer (unexcused)
Staff: Erwin Young, Director of Human Resources

PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENTS
None.
CONSENT CALENDAR
1. a) Gans moved the minutes of the May 19, 2008 meeting be approved as submitted. Seconded by Nickey and unanimously carried.
CITIZENS TO BE HEARD
None
GENERAL BUSINESS
1. Gans nominated Nickey for Personnel Board Chairperson. Seconded by Saprai and unanimously carried. Gans nominated Hendricks for Vice Chair. Seconded by Saprai and unanimously carried.
2. The Personnel Board reviewed the Study Issue regarding Proposal on Grant Funded Positions. Boardmember Hendricks proposed clarifying language to define “temporary” and “prospective.” Gans moved to approve the Study Issue with the above clarifications. Seconded by Hendricks and unanimously carried.
