SUNNYVALE PERSONNEL BOARD
The Personnel Board met in regular session in Council Chambers, 456 W. Olive Avenue at 5:00 P.M. with Werner Gans presiding.

Absent: Frank Agabah (unexcused)

CONSENT CALENDAR
1. Werner Gans moved the minutes of the September 21, 2004 meeting be corrected to read as follows: 1) Under Roll Call add Marc Ketzel as being present; 2) Under narrative for suggestion #04-04 add that the Personnel Board said this suggestion needs to be implemented even if the companies are also notified. Ericka Reguerin seconded the motion and it was unanimously carried.

GENERAL BUSINESS
a) Consideration of Employee Suggestions:
Suggestion #04-05, Reducing Cost of Public Safety Laundry. Gans commented that since it seems this is a collective bargaining item, the suggestion needs to be considered through that channel first. Gans moved that the suggestion may be resubmitted. Seconded by Ketzel and unanimously approved. The Personnel Board would like to have information on who will be responsible for washing the sheets when the suggestion is resubmitted. Suggestor: Mark Frise, Department of Public Safety.
Bushman moved no award for suggestion #04-06, Goofy Phone Displays. Seconded by Gans and unanimously approved. Suggestor: Kristin Dance, Department of Parks and Recreation.
Ketzel moved no award for suggestion #04-07, Electrical Safety. Seconded by Bushman and unanimously approved. Suggestor: Mike Weaver, Department of Public Safety.
NON-AGENDA ITEMS AND COMMENTS
The Personnel Board would like to have a tour of the Water Pollution Control Plant planned in March 2005.
The Personnel Board wished Mark Gregersen the best of luck at his new job and asked that this information be conveyed to Mark.
