MINUTES

SUNNYVALE PERSONNEL BOARD

The Personnel Board met in regular session in Council Chambers, 456 W. Olive Avenue.  The meeting was called to order at 5:05 P.M. with Karen Bushman presiding.

Present:        Karen Bushman, Werner Gans, Marc Ketzel, Ericka Reguerin

Absent:         Frank Agabah (unexcused)

Present:        Tammy Parkhurst, Human Resources Senior Management Analyst

                   Joan Borger, Interim City Attorney

Joan Borger presented Tammy Parkhurst with a letter from the attorney for the Public Safety employee who was to appeal the disciplinary action in closed session at 5:30.  Tammy read the letter to the Personnel Board, which stated that the Public Safety employee withdrew the appeal.

CONSENT CALENDAR

1.      Werner Gans moved the minutes of the December 2004 meeting be approved as submitted.  Seconded by Marc Ketzel and unanimously carried.

GENERAL BUSINESS

a) Consideration of Employee Suggestions:

Gans moved no award for suggestion #04-13, Change from Banners to Electronic Billboard for Special Events.  Seconded by Reguerin and unanimously approved.  Suggestor: Steven Wolford, Department of Parks and Recreation.

Gans moved no award for suggestion #04-14, Paycheck Envelopes.  Seconded by Reguerin and unanimously approved.  Suggestor: Brandy Thomas, Department of Public Works.
