MINUTES
SUNNYVALE PERSONNEL BOARD
The Personnel Board met in regular session in Council Chambers, 456 W. Olive Avenue. The meeting was called to order at 5:04 P.M. with Karen Bushman presiding.

SCHEDULED PRESENTATION
Amy Chan, City Manager and Councilmember Howe updated the Personnel Board on the City philosophy and City’s economic picture, issues facing the organization and the City’s expectations that the employees and management will adhere to the Guiding Principles and that the organizational culture could be changed to a high performing, “world-class” City.
CONSENT CALENDAR
1. Werner Gans moved the minutes of the April 18, 2005 meeting be approved as submitted. Seconded by Marc Ketzel and unanimously carried.
GENERAL BUSINESS
None
NON-AGENDA ITEMS AND COMMENTS
Suggestion #05-16: at the April 18th meeting, the Personnel Board wanted staff to find out who currently pays for the water before they made a decision about an award. Jane Fleenor reported that the employees buy the bottled water, because they like the taste better then tap water. Gans moved no award, seconded by Reguerin and unanimously approved. Suggestor: Anne Lee, Community Development.
