APPROVED MINUTES

SUNNYVALE PERSONNEL BOARD

The Personnel Board met in regular session in Council Chambers, 456 W. Olive Avenue.  The meeting was called to order at 5:00 P.M. with Werner Gans presiding.

ROLL CALL

Present:        Frank Agabah, Werner Gans, Marc Ketzel, Stephanie Saprai

Absent:         Karen Bushman (excused)

Staff:           Erwin Young, Director of Human Resources

Mindy Vargas, Recording Secretary

SCHEDULED PRESENTATION

Coryn Campbell, Neighborhood and Community Services Manager, presented a study issue titled “RTC Posting and/or Agenda Noticing Timelines for City Council Agenda” and answered questions from the Personnel Board.  The Personnel Board requested a copy of the study issue once it becomes available.

Marc Hynes, Esq. from Atkinson Farasyn and Attorney to the Personnel Board reviewed the disciplinary appeal process and answered questions.

CONSENT CALENDAR

1. Frank Agabah moved the minutes of the August 15, 2005 meeting be approved as submitted.  Seconded by Stephanie Saprai and unanimously carried.

2. Frank Agabah moved Werner Gans be appointed as Personnel Board Chair.  Seconded by Stephanie Saprai and unanimously carried.  Marc Ketzel moved Karen Bushman be appointed as Personal Board Vice Chair.  Seconded by Stephanie Saprai and unanimously carried.

NON-AGENDA ITEMS AND COMMENTS

Erwin Young, Director of Human Resources informed the Personnel Board of the Boards and Commissions Recognition Reception on October 11, 2005 and said that invitations will follow.
