ADMINISTRATIVE HEARING

MINUTES

Wednesday, August 11, 2004

2004-0561 - Application for a Use Permit on an 11,129 square foot site to allow a fence over seven feet in height within the front yard.  The property is located at 620 Carlisle Way in an R-0 (Low Density Residential) Zoning District. (309-17-005) RK

In attendance: Angela and Paul McIntyre, Owner/Applicant; Gerri Caruso, Administrative Hearing Officer; Ryan Kuchenig, Project Planner; Fred Bell, Principal Planner; and, Gloria Barron, Recording Secretary. 

Ms. Gerri Caruso, Administrative Hearing Officer, on behalf of the Director of Community Development, explained the format that would be observed during the public hearing.

Ms. Caruso announced the subject application.

Ryan Kuchenig, Project Planner, presented the staff report.  He summarized the subject application and recommended approval of the Use Permit subject to the Conditions of Approval recommended by staff. 

Ms. Caruso asked staff where the additional landscaping would be planted.  Staff responded that is would be planted closest to the curb. 

Ms. Caruso opened the public hearing.

Angela McIntyre, Owner/Applicant, stated that she received and reviewed a copy of the staff report and agreed with the Conditions of Approval.  She stated that staff did a very good job putting the staff report together.  Ms. McIntyre noted that the pre existing fence was probably built in the early 1970’s and grandfathered from having a permit from the City.  

Ms. Caruso closed the public hearing.

Ms. Caruso approved the Use Permit with the Findings provided by staff and with the Conditions of Approval as recommended by staff.  

Ms. Caruso stated that the decision is final unless appealed during the 15-day appeal period.

The meeting was adjourned at 2:07 p.m.
