MINUTES

Wednesday, August 25, 2004

2004–0600: Application for a Use Permit on a 7,600 square-foot site to allow an eight-foot fence in the rear yard along Fremont Avenue.  The project is located at 1050 Yorktown Drive in an R-1 (Low Density Residential) Zoning District. (APN: 202-29-015) DO

In attendance: Fred Bell, Administrative Hearing Officer; Diana O’Dell, Project Planner; and, Gloria Barron, Recording Secretary. 

Mr. Fred Bell, Administrative Hearing Officer, on behalf of the Director of Community Development, explained the format that would be observed during the public hearing.

Mr. Bell announced the subject application.

Diana O’Dell, Project Planner, presented the staff report.  She summarized the subject application and noted that the Use Permit application will also include a 7 foot high fence in front of the house next to the garage.  Staff recommended approval of the Use Permit subject to the Conditions of Approval recommended by staff. 

Mr. Bell noted that he read the staff report and visited the site. 

Mr. Bell opened the public hearing.

No one was present to speak on the item. 

Mr. Bell closed the public hearing.

Mr. Bell approved the Use Permit with the Findings provided by staff and with the Conditions of Approval as recommended by staff. 

Mr. Bell stated that the decision is final unless appealed during the 15-day appeal period.

The meeting was adjourned at 2:04 p.m.
