MINUTES

2004-0853 – El Caminito Mexican Restaurant [Applicant] Mardesich Co [Owner]: Application for a Use Permit on a 1.4-acre site to allow liquor sales at an existing restaurant.  The property is located at 510 East El Camino Real in a C-2/PD (Highway Business/Planned Development) Zoning District.  (APN: 211-20-006) SL

 

In attendance: Julian Rios, Applicant; Gerri Caruso, Administrative Hearing Officer; Andrew Miner, Project Planner; and, Gloria Barron, Recording Secretary. 

 

Ms. Gerri Caruso, Administrative Hearing Officer, on behalf of the Director of Community Development, explained the format that would be observed during the public hearing.

 

Ms. Caruso announced the subject application.

 

Andrew Miner, Project Planner, presented the staff report.  He summarized the subject application and recommended approval of the Use Permit subject to the Conditions of Approval recommended by staff. 

 

Ms. Caruso opened the public hearing.

 

Julian Rios, stated that he received and reviewed a copy of the staff report.  He asked for an extension of hours of operation for Friday and Saturdays.  Mr. Rios did not have any further comments.

 

Ms. Caruso closed the public hearing.

 

Ms. Caruso approved the Use Permit with the Findings provided by staff and with the Conditions of Approval as recommended by staff.  Ms. Caruso granted the extension of hours of operation for Fridays and Saturdays until 11:00 p.m. 

 

Ms. Caruso stated that the decision is final unless appealed to the Planning Commission with payment of the appeal fee within the 15-day appeal period. 

 

The meeting was adjourned at 2:15 p.m.
