SUBJECT: CITY ATTORNEY CONTROL POINT

Attached is the resolution prepared by the City Attorney’s Office implementing the new Control Point for the City Attorney for Fiscal Year 2003/04.  Following the procedures adopted by Council on October 17, 1995, detailed in Report to Council #95-380, the new control point should be set at $179,774, an 8.88% adjustment.  Because the City Manager recommends his control point increase be limited to 3%, in light of the City's fiscal situation and the percentage being given to other management employees, and because the City Attorney control point is set at 90% of the City Manager Control Point, the recommended increase in control point for the City Attorney has similarly been reduced.

The new Control Point for the City Attorney is set at $170,059, and is effective retroactive to June 22, 2003.
