SUBJECT: Board and Commission Resignation – Information Only

This report is to inform the Council that we have had one resignation from the Board of Building Code Appeals. Patrick Meyering, who was appointed on June 15, 2004, resigned on July 15. The Board now has two vacancies out of five members.

As the Council is aware, we have just completed our Spring Recruitment on Friday May 21 and Council made the appointments on June 15. Our Fall recruitment is scheduled to start on September 7 and end on November 12. Staff accepts applications year round and the existing vacancies are listed on the Boards and Commissions web site. Should staff receive sufficient applications for the three Boards/Commissions that currently have openings (Board of Building Code Appeals, Heritage Preservation Commission, Child Care Advisory Board) before September 7, staff will schedule an interview and appointment date with the Council.
