SUBJECT: Award of Contract with Wired Integrations, LLC for Technical Services

REPORT IN BRIEF

Approval is requested for the award of a contract in the amount of $5,000 to Wired Integrations, LLC of Santa Clara to provide systems technical services as needed by the City of Sunnyvale for the current fiscal year.

EXISTING POLICY

Section 2.08.070(b) of the Sunnyvale Municipal Code exempts from competitive bidding contracts for professional services.

DISCUSSION

Staff requests approval to award a one-year contract not to exceed $5,000 to Wired Integrations, LLC of Santa Clara, California.  Wired Integrations, LLC was established in 1995, and their technical staff represents over 100 years of experience in systems engineering, industry applications, and custom application design and development. Services provided by the firm include systems integration and networking, security assessment, and systems support including disaster recovery planning and implementation.  These services are necessary from time to time to the City Council in the management of the City.

FISCAL IMPACT

Total cost of this contract will not exceed $5,000.  Funds are available in program 732, Council Policy Assistance and Support.

PUBLIC CONTACT

Public contact was made through posting of the Council agenda on the City's official notice bulletin board, posting of the agenda and report on the City's web page, publication of the Council agenda in the San Jose Mercury News, and the availability of the report in the Library and the City Clerk's office.

1. Approve the award of a contract to Wired Integrations, LLC in the amount of $5,000.

2. Do not award the contract

RECOMMENDATION

It is recommended that the City Council award a contract to Wired Integrations, LLC in the amount of $5,000 to provide technical services to the City.
