 SPECIAL SUNNYVALE CITY COUNCIL MEETING
MONDAY, JUNE 7, 2004

The City Council of the City of Sunnyvale met in a special session in the West Conference Room, 456 West Olive Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA at 6:00 p.m. Council Member Fowler presided the meeting, at the request of Mayor Howe.

1.       BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS 2004 SPRING RECRUITMENT INTERVIEWS (FIRST SERIES)

The Council conducted interviews for the following Boards and Commissions:

·         Advisory Council to the Council on Aging

·         Arts Commission

·         Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee

·         Board of Library Trustees

·         Child Care Advisory Board

·         Heritage Preservation Commission

·         Housing and Human Services Commission

·         Personnel Board

Of the 22 applicants scheduled for interviews, 1 applicant withdrew her application, 15 applicants were interviewed, and 6 applicants were absent due to a scheduling conflict. The six applicants who were absent indicated they would still like to be considered for appointment.  It was noted that some applicants submitted multiple applications for various Boards and Commissions.

Council Member Fowler announced that appointments will be made on June 15, 2004.
