SUBJECT: Board and Commission Resignations – Information Only

This report is to inform the Council that we have had two resignations from the Housing and Human Services Commission. They are Kevin Lee (whose term expires in 2005) and Vinay Banai (whose term expires in 2007). This Commission now has four openings out of nine members. We have also had one resignation, Helen DeWolf, who resigned from the Parks and Recreation Commission. This Commission now has two openings out of five members.

As the Council is aware, we have just completed our Spring Recruitment on Friday May 21. We received three applications for the Housing and Human Services Commission, and seven for the Parks and Recreation Commission. We may ask Council to approve an extended recruitment based on the remaining vacancies for all Boards and Commissions in the June 15 RTC to Council on Board and Commission appointments.
