RESOLUTION NO.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF

          SUNNYVALE APPOINTING AMY CHAN INTERIM CITY MANAGER

          WHEREAS, Section 800 of the Charter of the City of Sunnyvale provides that the City Manager shall be appointed by the City Council; and

          WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council to appoint an Interim City Manager and to provide certain benefits, establish certain conditions of service and to set working conditions.

          NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SUNNYVALE THAT:

          1.  It appoints Amy Chan Interim City Manager of the City of Sunnyvale, effective March 1, 2004.

          2.  The salary of the Interim City Manager shall be the sum of $188,955.10 per year, in accordance with Resolution No. 146-03.

          3.   The Interim City Manager shall be entitled to retirement and other benefits in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Employment Agreement between City of Sunnyvale and Amy Chan, Interim City Manager.

          BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Interim City Manager shall also fill the position of Interim Executive Director of the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Sunnyvale.
