SUMMARY
A regular meeting of the Sunnyvale Planning Commission was held on March 8, 2004, at 8:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers, City Hall, 456 West Olive Avenue, Sunnyvale, with Chair Babcock presiding.
Members Present: Chair Babcock; Vice Chair Moylan, Comms. Fussell, Hungerford, Klein, Simons and Sulser
Staff Present: Trudi Ryan Planning Officer; Joan Borger, Senior Assistant City Attorney; and Alice Gamboa-Navas, Recording Secretary

Vice Chair Moylan made a motion to approve the minutes of February 23, 2004. Comm. Hungerford seconded. |

Public Hearing
1. 2000-0523 – City of Sunnyvale – Adoption of the Moffett Park Specific Plan and associated amendments to the Zoning Ordinance including creation of Chapter 19.29 Moffett Park Specific Plan (Environmental Impact Report was certified November 11, 2003)
Vice Chair Moylan made a motion on Item #2000-0523 to continue the adoption of the Moffett Park Specific Plan to April 12, 2004 as requested by staff. Comm. Hungerford seconded. Motion carried unanimously 7-0.
APPEAL OPTIONS: Not appealable, item to be considered by City Council.
2. Planning Commission Participation in Community Outreach for Redevelopment of Town Center Areas
The Commission agreed on two public forums for the redevelopment of the Town Center Area with the format to be in an informal setting with the Chair acting as moderator to be held on Wednesday, April 7 and Thursday, April 29 with locations to be determined at a later time after confirming availability.

Report on Council Meetings
Trudi Ryan, Planning Officer, reported that on February 24, the City Council directed the Commission to participate in the community outreach efforts for the redevelopment of the town center area. She noted that the Commission agreed on the meetings dates as directed by Council during the public hearing portion of the evening.
She also reported that Council also considered the Green Building Study and that Council adopted the Commission’s recommendation. She was happy with the results of the study and the cooperative efforts of Planning and Building staff in delivering a quality report and suggestions.
