SUBJECT: SEATING ARRANGEMENTS FOR CITY COUNCIL FOR 2004-05

REPORT IN BRIEF

Council Policy 7.3.7 requires that City Council seating arrangements be determined as the last item of business at a meeting during which a Mayor and/or Vice Mayor is selected. Therefore, it is in order for the City Council to decide the seating arrangement of its members for November 2004 through November 2005. The method for determining seating arrangements is detailed in the attached Council Policy. By policy, the Mayor’s seat is designated in the center of the dais, and the Vice Mayor shall be seated on either side of the Mayor, with the Vice Mayor having his/her choice of which side.

RECOMMENDATION

That Council determine its seating arrangements for November 2004 – November 2005 in accordance with Council Policy 7.3.7.
