SPECIAL MEETING (CLOSED SESSION)
SUNNYVALE CITY COUNCIL

Wednesday, October 27, 2004

      9:00 a.m., Council Conference Room, City Hall

456 West Olive Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA

The open session of the special meeting was called to order at 9:00 a.m. in the Council Conference Room at 456 W. Olive Avenue, Sunnyvale, California with Mayor Howe presiding.

Council Members Fowler, Swegles, Miller, Vice Mayor Chu and Mayor Howe were present. Council Members Lee and Hamilton were absent (excused absences).

There was no public comment.

Mayor Howe convened to Closed Session in the Council Conference Room at City Hall, regarding Public Employee Appointment, City Manager, pursuant to Government Code Section 54957. 

Mayor Howe reconvened to open session and announced that the Council took action to give conceptual approval to a contract to appoint Amy Chan as City Manager, and gave direction regarding such. All Council Members present voted in favor of the appointment.

Mayor Howe adjourned the special meeting at 10:00 a.m.
