Resolution relating to encouraging healthier lifestyles for children, adults, and seniors in cities throughout California.

The League of California Cities encourages cities to embrace policies that facilitate activities that promote healthier lifestyles, including healthy diet and nutrition, and adopt city design and planning principles that enable citizens to undertake exercise with the goal of achieving a more active and healthy community.

Recreation Sub-Element 6.1 D: Provide opportunities for high quality leisure involvement which promotes the physical and mental well being of the community and ensures equal opportunity for participation.
