SUBJECT: Board and Commission Resignation – Information Only

This report is to inform the Council that we have had one resignation from the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee. Farah Desai, who was appointed on June 15, 2004, resigned on September 13, 2004 for personal reasons. The Committee now has one vacancy out of seven members.

Staff accepts applications year round and the existing vacancies are listed on the Boards and Commissions web site. Should staff receive sufficient applications for the four Boards/Commissions that currently have openings (Board of Building Code Appeals, Heritage Preservation Commission, Child Care Advisory Board, Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee), staff will schedule an interview and appointment date with the Council.
