A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SUNNYVALE FIXING THE CITY'S CONTRIBUTION AS EMPLOYER UNDER THE PUBLIC EMPLOYEES MEDICAL AND HOSPITAL CARE ACT FOR CERTAIN RETIREES

          WHEREAS, Government Code Section 22825.6 provides that a local agency contracting under the Public Employees Medical and Hospital Care Act shall fix the amount of the employer's contribution at an amount not less than the amount required under Section 22825 of the Act; and

          WHEREAS, the City of Sunnyvale is a local agency contracting under the Act;

          NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SUNNYVALE THAT:

          1.     Commencing July 1, 2005, the City's maximum contribution under the Act toward the health benefits coverage of its annuitants formerly employed in job classifications represented by Service Employees International Union, Local 715 (PERS Code 06) shall be $248.92 per month, or the amount of the health insurance premium, whichever is less.

          2.     The previously established monthly employer contribution rates as set forth below for each bargaining unit remain unchanged:
