A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SUNNYVALE AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 131-04, THE CITY'S SALARY RESOLUTION, AMENDING THE CITY’S CONTRIBUTION FOR MEDICAL INSURANCE FOR EMPLOYEES PREVIOUSLY REPRESENTED BY THE SERVICE EMPLOYEES INTERNATIONAL UNION, LOCAL 715 (SEIU)

            WHEREAS, pursuant to the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the City of Sunnyvale and the Service Employees International Union, Local 715 (SEIU) an amendment to the City’s Salary Resolution is necessary to amend the City’s contribution to the Public Employee’s Retirement System for health insurance under the Public Employees’ Medical and Hospital Care Act (PEMCHA);

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SUNNYVALE THAT Section 5.510 is hereby amended to read:

          5.510.  CITY CONTRIBUTION FOR MEDICAL INSURANCES. 

(a)      The City will contribute the following amounts toward the cost of the premiums for medical insurance under the Public Employees Medical and Hospital Care Act (PEMHCA) for each employee in the respective categories listed below, and his or her eligible dependents, and for each annuitant in PERS formerly in the respective categories listed below and his or her eligible dependents:

(5) Category L - The cost of the premium or Two Hundred Forty-Eight Dollars and Nine-Two Cents ($248.92) per month, whichever is less, effective July 1, 2002.
