Moffett Flight Path Clearance – Street Tree Encroachment Pruning and Budget Modification No. 15

 

Staff Recommendation: Council approves Budget Modification No. 15 as outlined in this report. Staff supports Alternative 1 as the least expensive as well as the least environmentally and aesthetically objectionable solution to comply with FAA and CA PUC require­ments.

Award of Contract to Design Pedestrian and Bicycle Circulation Improvements  in the Tasman/Fair Oaks Area (F0511-35)

 

Staff Recommendation: Council awards a contract to Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc., in substantially the same form as the attached draft Consultant Services Agreement and an amount not to exceed $105,128, to plan and design pedestrian and bicycle circulation improvements in the Tasman/Fair Oaks area.

Authorization to Increase Expenditures under an Existing Contract for the Removal of Existing Tree Stumps and the Installation of New and Replacement Street Trees (F0512-37)

 

Staff Recommendation: Council authorizes additional expenditures under blanket purchase order No. 27456-B with Anderson's Tree Care of San Jose, in substantially the same form as the attached Change Order and in an amount not to exceed $7,769, for stump removal and tree planting services, making a total contract amount of $54, 379.

Appeal of a decision of the Planning Commission with a condition for 3-year limit for an Adult Day Health Care facility for a site located at 1197 East Arques Avenue (near Lawrence Expressway) in an M-S (Industrial and Service) Zoning District

 

Staff Recommendation: Council denies the appeal and upholds the decision of the Planning Commission to approve the Use Permit with a 3-year limit

Request by KB Homes South Bay Inc. to initiate a General Plan Amendment Study to change the land use designation for 690 East Arques Avenue from Industrial to Medium Density Residential

 

Staff Recommendation:  Council authorizes the initiation of a General Plan Amendment Study for a range of residential densities from Medium to High.

Approval of 2005 Urban Water Management Plan (UWMP) Update and Adoption of Resolution

 

Staff Recommendation: Council adopts a Resolution approving the 2005 Urban Water Management Plan (UWMP) as presented, and directs staff to forward the UWMP to the California State Department of Water Resources.

§         Opening remarks by the applicant (if applicable) are limited to ten minutes.

§         Speakers are requested to give their name (address is optional).

§         Speakers are to turn in a Speaker Card to the City Clerk.

§         Anyone interested in addressing the Council (may only speak one time).

§         Closing remarks by the applicant (if applicable) are limited to ten minutes.

§         Time limit of 3 minutes per person (may be extended at discretion of Mayor).  Please make comments brief and be prepared to provide new input.
