A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SUNNYVALE FIXING THE CITY'S CONTRIBUTION FOR MEDICAL INSURANCE AS EMPLOYER UNDER THE PUBLIC EMPLOYEES MEDICAL AND HOSPITAL CARE ACT FOR SUNNYVALE EMPLOYEES’ ASSOCIATION ANNUITANTS (SEA)

          WHEREAS, in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding with the Sunnyvale Employees’ Association (SEA) and Government Code Section 22892 which provides that a local agency contracting under the Public Employees Medical and Hospital Care Act (the “Act”) shall fix, by resolution, the amount of the employer's contribution in an equal amount for both employees and annuitants; and

          WHEREAS, the City of Sunnyvale is a local agency contracting under the Act;

          NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SUNNYVALE THAT, commencing January 1, 2006, the City's contribution under the Act toward the health benefits coverage of its annuitants, formerly employed in job classifications represented by the Sunnyvale Employees’ Association (PERS Code 03), shall be increased from $452.59 per month to $470.93, or the amount of the health insurance premium, whichever is less.
