A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SUNNYVALE AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 190-05, THE CITY'S SALARY RESOLUTION, BY AMENDING THE PAY SCHEDULE FOR CATEGORY A (PUBLIC SAFETY DISPATCHERS-IN-TRAINING, DISPATCHERS AND SENIOR DISPATCHERS) AND CATEGORY C (PUBLIC SAFETY OFFICERS-IN-TRAINING; PUBLIC SAFETY OFFICERS AND LIEUTENANTS) CLASSIFICATIONS

          WHEREAS, pursuant to the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the City of Sunnyvale and the Public Safety Officers Association (PSOA) 1997-2006 and the MOU with the Communication Officers Association (COA) 1999-2004 (which was extended through December 31, 2005), and past practice, an amended pay schedule must be included in the City's Salary Resolution;

          NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SUNNYVALE THAT:

          1.     Section 2.000 of Resolution No. 190-05 is hereby amended by amending the pay range and steps in Category A for Public Safety Dispatcher-In-Training, Public Safety Dispatcher and Senior Public Safety Dispatcher, as set forth in Exhibit “A” attached and incorporated by reference.

          2.     Section 2.200 of Resolution No. 190-05 is hereby amended by amending the pay range and steps in Category C for Public Safety Officer-In-Training, Public Safety Officer I/II and Public Safety Lieutenant, as set forth in Exhibit "B" attached and incorporated by reference.

          3.     All other provisions of Resolution No. 190-05 shall remain in full force and effect.

          4.     The pay ranges noted above shall be effective retroactive to July 3, 2005.

          Adopted by the City Council of the City of Sunnyvale at a regular meeting held on _________________, 2005, by the following vote:
