Public Hearing on Budget Issues for Consideration in the City Manager's Recommended FY 2006/2007 Budget and Long Term Financial Plan

 

Staff Recommendation: Public Hearing be held to provide Council, Boards and Commissions, and members of the public the opportunity for input on proposed Budget Issues and to present any additional Budget Issues for Council consideration.  Council action will be taken on all proposed Budget Issues at the upcoming Fiscal Issues Workshop.

Earlier Public Release of Certain Types of Reports to Council

 

Staff Recommendation: Alternatives Nos. 1,3,7,8, and 11:

1.      Council requires that all final reports with a Board/Commission’s   recommendation be provided to Council earlier than 5 days in advance of Council meetings.

3.      Council requires that all final reports related to one or more types of subject matter be provided to Council earlier than 5 days in advance of Council meetings.

7.      Council requires that all Study Issue Reports be provided to Council earlier than 5 days in advance of Council meetings.

8.      Council identifies during each update of Council’s “Tentative Council Meeting Agenda Calendar” any specific reports it would like to see distributed earlier than 5 days in advance of Council meetings.

11.   Council to customize deadlines for any reports it wishes to see earlier than 5 days in advance based on the individual report involved.

  • Anyone interested in addressing the Council (may only speak one time).
  • Closing remarks by the applicant (if applicable) are limited to ten minutes.
  • Time limit of 3 minutes per person (may be extended at discretion of Mayor).  Please make comments brief and be prepared to provide new input.
