  • Conference with City's real property negotiators pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.8 to discuss the terms of sale for real property located at Capella Way, Aries, Frances and Taafe Streets, Sunnyvale, California.  The City's real property negotiators are Amy Chan, City Manager, and Robert Paternoster, Director of Community Development.

Staff Recommendation: Council, on behalf of the NOVA seven-city consortium, authorizes submission of a grant application to Microsoft Corporation not to exceed $150,000 to provide information technology skills training.

Federal Surface Transportation Program Funds for Local Streets and Roads Rehabilitation Projects – Authorization to Submit Grant Application and Resolution of Support

 

Staff Recommendation: Council authorizes staff to apply for Federal Surface Transportation Program Funds for Local Streets and Roads Rehabilitation Projects for the allocated amount of $1,183,940.

Award of Contract for Water and Wastewater Chemicals (F0511-34)

 

Staff Recommendation:  Council takes the following action:

1. Award two one-year contracts for liquid chlorine and liquid sulfur dioxide in substantially the same form as the attached draft blanket purchase orders: one to Sierra Chemical Company, and one to Pioneer  America, LLC and

2. Authorizes total expenditures under these two contracts up to the amount budgeted for liquid chlorine and liquid sulfur dioxide in Program 342.

  • Announcement of public event with definite time and date.
  • Public events that are of community-wide interest that occur on annual basis. (only announce one time).

Public Hearings – Order of Hearing as Follows:

  • Opening remarks by the applicant (if applicable) are limited to ten minutes.
  • Speakers are requested to give their name (address is optional).
  • Speakers are to turn in a Speaker Card to the City Clerk.
  • Anyone interested in addressing the Council (may only speak one time).
  • Closing remarks by the applicant (if applicable) are limited to ten minutes.
  • Time limit of 3 minutes per person (may be extended at discretion of Mayor).  Please make comments brief and be prepared to provide new input.

Public Comments

  • Any item relevant to the City of Sunnyvale.
  • Speakers are requested to give their name (address is optional).
