SUBJECT: 2005-0664 – Appeal of a decision by the Planning Commission to deny a Variance from Sunnyvale Municipal Code section 19.34.030 to allow for a 264 square-foot accessory utility building with a 2.5-foot side-yard setback where 4 feet is required and a 2-foot rear-yard setback where 10 feet is required. The application is located at 885 Lakechime Drive in an R-0 (Low-Density Residential) Zoning District.

 

REPORT IN BRIEF

On August 24, 2005 the applicant appealed the Administrative Hearing Officer’s decision of August 10, 2005 denying the Variance.  The Planning Commission denied the appeal on November 28, 2005 upholding the decision of the Administrative Hearing Officer.  On December 7, 2005 the applicant appealed the decision of the Planning Commission denying their appeal and  proposal. The applicant requests a continuance due to his inability to attend the scheduled meeting.
