DISCUSSION

Based on the interview with Mr. Andrew Gonzales, Vice Mayor Lee indicated that Mr. Gonzales wished to withdraw his application from consideration for the Parks and Recreation Commission and Mr. Gonzales will forward his request in writing to the City Clerk.

City Clerk Chappelear noted that the interview schedules in the binders were revised to reflect movement of the interview for Mr. Richard Ober to June 7, 2006 and the revised cover memo sent (via email) to Council on May 31, 2006.  She also indicated that two applicants were unable to attend either interview date due to out-of-town travel.  Their applications are included in the binders should Council wish to consider them without an interview.  If Council does not appoint either of these candidates, their applications will remain on file for one year from the date of submittal, and they will be contacted if an opening occurs.

Vice Mayor Lee reminded Council that the second evening of Board and Commission interviews is scheduled for Wednesday, June 7, 2006.  Interviews will be held in the West Conference Room starting at 5:30 p.m.

ADJOURNMENT

Vice Mayor Lee adjourned the meeting at 9:35 p.m.
