The City Council met in study session at City Hall in the West Conference Room at 456 West Olive Avenue, Sunnyvale, California on March 7, 2006 at 6:00 p.m., with Mayor Ron Swegles presiding.

Study Session Summary:

• Bill and Issue Tracking (July 1, 2005 – February 21, 2006)
  Staff distributed a listing of current bills and issues on which the City has performed advocacy.
• National League of Cities (NLC) Conference Itinerary
  Staff distributed 2006 NLC Conference itineraries and advocacy packets to Councilmembers.
• Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC)/ Onizuka AFS Update
  Staff provided an update on the BRAC process and shared information regarding the property screening process.
• IGR Committee Assignment Reports
  Councilmembers discussed highlights from their IGR committee assignments.
