DISCUSSION
During her interview, Ms. Nirmala Vaidyanathan revised her order of preference to list the Board of Library Trustees as her first preference and the Heritage Preservation Commission as her second preference.
During his interview, Mr. Patrick Grant clarified that his application qualified for both Category 1 and Category 2 related to the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee.
Mr. James Roosevelt left a voicemail message (while the interviews were in session) indicating that he could not attend as scheduled due to a medical emergency and requested that his interview be re-scheduled. Due to Council availability, the Mayor indicated that additional interviews would not be scheduled; however, the Mayor and Councilmembers present indicated that they would be available to individually talk with Mr. Roosevelt by phone. The Mayor asked the City Clerk to notify Mr. Roosevelt of this opportunity and for Mr. Roosevelt to coordinate the phone calls by contacting Heidi Kirk, Executive Assistant to the Mayor and City Council. Katherine Bradshaw Chappelear, City Clerk, noted that the information would be sent to Mr. Roosevelt via electronic mail on November 21, 2006 and the Mayor and Councilmembers would be copied on the message.
During his interview, Mr. Mark Johnson revised his application to include the Board of Library Trustees and revised his order of preference: Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee as first preference; Housing and Human Services Commission as second preference; Heritage Preservation Commission as third preference; Board of Library Trustees as fourth preference and Parks and Recreation Commission as fifth preference.
At the conclusion of the interviews, Mayor Swegles reminded the Council that Board and Commission Appointments were scheduled for the Council Meeting of December 12, 2006.
