Staff Recommendation:

·      Council awards a contract to Nichols Consulting Engineers, Chtd., in substantially the same form as the attached draft and in an amount of $88,880, for engineering services for the pavement rehabilitation of Sunnyvale major streets; and

·      Council approves a design contingency in the amount of $13,332.

Award of Bid No. F0612-56 for Rehabilitation of Two Water Wells and Approval of Budget Modification No. 43

 

Staff Recommendation:  

·       Council awards a contract, in substantially the same form as the attached draft and in an amount $278,170, to Layne Christensen Company for the rehabilitation of the Schroeder and Raynor Wells;

·       Council approves project contingency in the amount of $55,644; and

·       Council approves Budget Modification No. 43 as outlined in the report.

Approval of Final Maps (Tract Nos. 9764 and 9765, Verona at Sunnyvale) – 72 Unit Townhomes at the Northeast and Southeast Corners of Morse Avenue and Tasman Drive by Toll Brothers Inc.

 

Staff Recommendation:

·      Council approves the final maps for Tract Nos. 9764 and 9765; and

·      Council directs staff to forward the final maps for recordation.

Recommendation to Sunnyvale City Council to Approve Confirmation of New Members to the NOVA Workforce Board

 

Staff Recommendation:  NOVA Workforce Board Nominating Committee recommends that the Sunnyvale City Council confirms Mr. John Caffall, Mr. Rick Deraiche and Ms. Alison Webber for four-year terms on the NOVA Workforce Board.

§         Recognition of a special achievement.

§         Announcement of public event with definite time and date.

§         Public events that are of community-wide interest that occur on annual basis.

Public Hearings – Order of Hearing as Follows:

§         Opening remarks by the applicant (if applicable) are limited to ten minutes.

§         Speakers are requested to give their name (address is optional).

§         Speakers are to turn in a Speaker Card to the City Clerk.

§         Anyone interested in addressing the Council (may only speak one time).

§         Closing remarks by the applicant (if applicable) are limited to ten minutes.

§         Time limit of three minutes per person (may be extended at discretion of Mayor).  Please make comments brief and be prepared to provide new input.

§         Any item relevant to the City of Sunnyvale.
