Staff Recommendation: Council modifies the existing contract with Consolidated Engineering Laboratories, in substantially the same form as the attached draft Purchase Order Change, by extending the contract through December 31, 2008, and increasing the total contract not-to-exceed amount to $150,000.

Staff Recommendation: Council authorizes the submission of an application to the California Health Incentives Improvement Project to assist with the Disability Program Navigator efforts for funding not to exceed $30,000 and if awarded authorize the City Manager or her designee to execute the necessary grant agreement.

City Manager and City Attorney: Salary Adjustment to Control Point, Adjustment of Vehicle Allowance, and Approval of City Manager’s Pay for Performance Bonus in Accordance with the Agreement for Services Between the City of Sunnyvale and the City Manager

 

 

Staff Recommendation: Council approve Alternative No. 1:

·      Implement the salary adjustment to the Control Points for the City Manager and City Attorney, representing a 9.5% increase for City Manager and a 5.0 % increase for City Attorney;

·      Amend agreements for service to increase the monthly vehicle allowance for City Manager and City Attorney to $516.00; and

·      Based on City Council direction given to staff on November 7, 2007, authorize a 10% performance bonus for the City Manager for Fiscal Year 2006/2007.

·      Rezone from M-S (Industrial & Service) to M-S/POA (Industrial & Service/Place of Assembly) Zoning District;

·      Use Permit to allow a religious facility including associated educational and recreational uses within two industrial buildings.

Staff Recommendation: Council repeals the prior Municipal Code Ordinances and adopts the California Fire Code (Chapter 16.52) with amendments, the High Rise Ordinance (Chapter 16.54) with amendments and the Resolution finding and determining the need for modifications to the Code.
